Here's George Michael's smash hit, Faith. He's on here for obvious reasons for being a gay celebrity. This video
came out in 1987 when being "out" wasn't the thing to do yet. His use of the sexy girl in the video with him was to cover
up any suspicion of his sexuality. George Michael is one of the greatest openly gay celebrities not only for his music, but
for his confidence in himself.
Gradually, as the years continue, gay culture and the gay atmosphere become more welcomed and publically displayed. A
new t.v. channel directed toward the gay and transgendered community is called LOGO. It features GLBT community programs,
movies, specials, and concerts. The hit channel, BRAVO, is another t.v station. Thought it's not specifically for the GLBT
community, it features several shows displaying member of the gay community. Here's a list of some of the hit gay shows that
not only have gay cast members, but are mainly homosexual oriented.

More and more filmmaker are taking risks by making full-length motion picture features about the love lives of gay couples.
Since society is becoming more aware of the topics and differences in people, movies are made more frequently for the gay
audience to enjoy. Also, it's not only the movies that are becoming open to the gay community, it's also plays and musicals
on broadway. The GLBT community is seeing themselves onscreen for once and being able to relate to someone who's just like
them, who loves like them, who fights like them, and who cries like them.
